I don't think we're in Natchitoches anymore, Toto...
Finally something to get excited about, though. Downtown Chicago is awesome. I finally got to see something worthwhile here. There is a place called Navy Pier--if you ever get to go, it is awesome. Its right on Lake Michigan and there's a lighthouse and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre is there, a ferris wheel and all kinds off cool stuff plus the view is amazing. Its like a cross between New Orleans' Riverwalk, LA's Santa Monica Pier, and the riverfront area in Newport, KY (except this place is much cooler.) We didn't stay very long though so i really want to go back. After that we went to the Magnificent Mile (its this long strip of like the tallest buildings you've ever seen in your life) and they have shopping centers and stuff- i found the absolute best store in the whole world. Its called ChiaroScuro (it means light dark in Italian) but its like an art decor type place (think pottery barn meets betsy johnson). Chicago pizza rocks and the subway train thing isn't that bad when you can figure out where you're going.
Suddenly i'm humming the Mary Tyler Moore themesong in my head...
